DESCRIPTION:1st Saturday of every month join us for our monthly support group \nThe South London CBC Support Group provides a safe\, culturally relevant space for people affected by cancer to come together\, share experiences\, and access trusted support. The group aims to reduce isolation\, improve emotional wellbeing\, and empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to navigate their cancer journey. Through regular sessions\, peer support\, and access to specialist input\, we create an environment where lived experience is valued and voices are heard. \nOur objectives focus on increasing engagement with support services\, improving understanding of cancer and treatment pathways\, and addressing the inequalities that often impact Black\, mixed and ethnic minority communities. We work collaboratively with local partners to ensure participants are informed\, supported\, and connected to the wider health system. \nAs a result\, members report feeling less isolated\, more confident in managing their health\, and better equipped to make informed decisions. The group strengthens community connections\, builds trust in services\, and contributes to improved health outcomes across South London.

The Boxathon aimed to raise public awareness about the impact of cancer and emphasise the importance of early detection and prevention.\nWe extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to making these events unforgettable.

DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to share the highlights of our New Year’s Celebration\, held in Canary Wharf in January 2024. The event was a resounding success\, with approximately 100 guests in attendance throughout the day\, including dedicated CBC members who have been supporting CBC for nearly 3 decades.\nThe celebration was filled with heartfelt moments and shared memories. Highlights included inspiring speeches from our guest speakers\, the introduction of our five new trustees\, a captivating performance by a talented poet and singer\, and a special recorded message from the legendary Nile Rodgers. Together\, these elements created a truly memorable and uplifting experience for all who attended.
